Each member will receive a packing list and itinerary before each overnight trip listing what to bring, suggestions on what to wear and details on what we will be doing.

All prices are based on 2 people per room in hotels and 2 or 3 people in cabins that are designed for that number on board ship. Each traveler gets their own sleeping accommodation. It could be a single or double bed. If we need to have 3 or 4 members in one room then we will get a suite that is designed to accompany that number of people. We can also request adjoining rooms with an inner door if they are available and needed. On a cruise ship or hotel we always book rooms or cabins right next to each other whenever possible. We place our tour staff in the middle room ro cabin or at each end of our group. Single supplement options are available but will cost extra.

We cannot give you your medication. We remind you to take it, but you have to be able to self medicate. We do have a medication chart which your tour staff will help you with and it can be returned to your care provider, QIDP or your parents. Your prescription has to be printed on your bottles or on the blister pack. DO NOT PACK YOUR MEDICATION INTO YOUR CHECK-IN BAG. Keep it on you or give it to your tour staff.

Many or our members live a very regimented lifestyle. While on vacation if someone wants to dance the night away or get up early in the morning that is fine with us. We expect our members to have a really good time but we also expect everyone to behave in an appropriate manner. Anyone who purposely puts themselves or their fellow travelers and tour staff into an unsafe situation will have their membership terminate.

Our excursions are priced on a staff to member ratio of 1 to 4, 5 or 6. If a member requires more supervision or help (Example: 1 staff to 1 member) the price of that trip will be higher for that individual.

The cruise lines can change their itinerary at anytime due to mechanical, weather, political or health reasons.

Frequently Asked Questions

Our comprehensive FAQ section addresses your travel inquiries.

Explore our list of frequently asked questions regarding trip details, accessibility options, and more.

If your question isn’t listed here, feel free to contact us!

  • What about health insurance? Which ones work on a cruise?

Medi-Cal only works in California. Anyone with Kaiser or an HMO will need to check with them but generally they are restricted. Medicare works everywhere in the United States including Puerto Rico and the American Virgin Islands in the Caribbean. Everyone that travels on the cruise ship will have travel insurance which covers for medical emergencies and medical evacuation. On every ship there is a medical center in case the need arises while we are cruising.

  • How do you prevent someone who should not be drinking alcohol from getting an alcoholic drink while on a cruise?

One of our least favorite ways is to write no alcohol with a sharpie pen on that individuals sign and sail card. It is really important to communicate with staff if an individual may have a problem especially with our new members. Most of the roving bartenders on board are really good about asking us if an individual can have a drink. There are non-alcoholic drinks available at every bar and our members can and do order those.

  • How do you prevent someone from falling off a balcony while on a cruise ship?

We get asked this question a lot. We do not book balcony cabins for any of our members. First choice is always ocean view which is also known as a window cabin. Our hard core cruisers like the inside cabins because you can sleep in. That’s always cool when you have been up most of the night partying. When you need to see out just turn on the flat screen TV and you have a view forward and a view of the lido deck. When anyone is on an outside deck there is always a staff person present.

  • What is a sign and sail card?

Issued to you by the cruise line before you get on board it serves as your ID card, cabin key and is used to purchase anything on board. Our members usually put a deposit on the card after they get onboard and they can use it to purchase souvenirs from the gift shop, etc. We usually recommend $200 – $300 if they are planning on using the spa services.

  • What is the difference between a passport book and a passport card?

A passport book allows you to leave and return to the United States by any mode of transportation. A passport card is restricted and only allows you to leave and enter the United States from a sea port or a land border crossing. You cannot use it for an international flight. We always recommend the passport book for our hardcore travelers. In case of an emergency if we have to fly someone back into the USA from a foreign port having a passport book makes it much easier.

  • How do you communicate with each other while on board a ship?

We use 2-way radios while on board. Some of our members have their own 2-way radios and we encourage them to bring those while on a cruise. Roaming charges are really high on most mobile phone plans so we encourage our members to turn their phones off while cruising. All smart phones have an airplane mode which shuts the calling features down but it can still be used to take video and pictures. On our itineraries we post the cruise lines phone number that enables anyone to contact us while we are cruising.
